 Frequently Asked Questions

When should I call an attorney?

It can be hard to commit to contacting an attorney, but if you are hurt on the job, involved in any kind of accident with injuries, unable to work, contacted by an insurance company, asked to sign any document, or are involved in any "legal" situation, call our office for a free consultation so you don't make a mistake that could cost you your rights.

What should I do after a car wreck?

First and most importantly, make sure you and your loved ones are safe. Get medical treatment for yourself and family. Be certain and get all of the contact information of everyone involved in the accident, including witnesses. The police report is always helpful, but may not contain all the information you need.  Make sure never to talk to any insurance agents before you contact an attorney. Our firm will handle contact with the insurance companies for you and allow you to focus on healing yourself and loved ones.

Do I have to pay an attorney up front?

If you're injured, hurt on the job, or seeking Social Security benefits, you pay our firm nothing unless we resolve your case in your favor. In most cases, the attorney's fee is deducted from the liability recovery. Fees for other services not related to personal injury cases may vary. COURT COSTS AND CASE EXPENSES MAY BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT.

How long will it take to resolve my claim?

The amount of time required to settle your personal injury claim will vary widely. Our firm can assist you with obtaining your medical records and negotiating with the insurance company to resolve your claim as quickly as possible, and we will keep you in the loop every step of the process. In the event the case cannot be settled through discussions with the insurance company, we will file a lawsuit on your behalf and agressivey proceed with your case in court.

What do I do about the damage to my car?

We can take care of the property damage settlement at no charge to you. If you prefer, you can discuss the damage to your car with your adjuster and then we will be happy to review it for you to make certain you're getting all the money to which you are entitled.

What about my PIP benefit and Med Pay benefit from my car insurance?

This is a benefit that is payable by your insurance company to you for medical care and lost wages up to $200 per week under most policies. Some policies have an additional Med Pay benefit. We take care of this for you at no charge making certain that the benefits are provided to you in the best way to benefit you.

What about the bills that I owe from the car wreck?

During the course of your case, you may have bills that will have to be paid from your recovery such as medical bills or liens for other benefits you have recieved before your case is settled. These bills and liens must be taken into account at the time your case is settled to protect you from any such claims. We negotiate settlement of these claims at no addional charge to you and in such a way as to maximize the money you get from your case.
